Event: Rains have caused heavy and widespread flooding in several parts of Kuwait. The Ministry of Interior issued a statement warning people to stay off flooded roads and to avoid traveling in or to flooded areas except in emergencies due to the extreme weather and flooding. Please monitor the Ministry’s website and KUNA for updated information.
The Embassy will continue to operate on a regular basis, including regular consular appointments.
Actions to Take:
· Avoid highways and flooded areas.
· Do not drive through moving or large areas of standing water.
· Stay off the roads and avoid going out except in emergencies.
· Monitor local media for updates.
· Avoid crowds.
