The Consular Section is located in the U.S. Embassy in Bayan, Block 13, on Masjed Al-Aqsa Street. Services are available Sunday – Thursday (excluding American & Kuwaiti National Holidays), by appointment only. For further assistance, please contact the visa unit through one of the following:

Cell Phones Not Permitted on Embassy Grounds
For the safety and security of all applicants and employees, visa applicants are not permitted to bring cell phones or other electronic devices into the U.S. Embassy. Applicants who bring such devices will be denied entry. Please make arrangements to leave your electronic equipment in a safe location off Embassy grounds during your interview appointment. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation.
Due to the extreme weather conditions, we ask that you do not arrive at the Embassy more than 15 minutes before your visa appointment.
Please note that all consular customers are required to wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing requirements at the Embassy. Anyone not wearing a face mask will not be permitted to enter the Embassy grounds.
If you need reasonable accommodation for your appointment, we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately once you schedule your appointment. We make every effort to provide accommodations to persons with disabilities and medical conditions. Reasonable accommodations vary, depending on the situation and the person’s needs.

If you are unable to provide fingerprints because of a medical condition, including birth defects, physical deformities, skin conditions, you may qualify for a fingerprint waiver for certain fingers.
