The U.S. Embassy is concerned by what appears to have been a deliberate attack on U.S. service members involved in a traffic incident with a third-country national on October 6.
The Embassy is in close contact with the Government of Kuwait regarding the incident, has received the full support of the Kuwaiti authorities, and is coordinating with them on the investigation.
The Embassy has no indications that there are specific, credible threats against Americans in Kuwait at this time. Even in the absence of any specific threats, Americans are advised to be vigilant when it comes to safety and security, at home and on the road, and to be aware of their surroundings.
