The Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs is delighted to announce that systems’ issues that have affected the Department of State’s ability to issue visas have been resolved, and all applicants can schedule appointments as normal. All applicants should plan to attend their current appointments as scheduled. Applicants with passports at the Embassy will be contacted by Aramex once the passport (with a visa) is ready for pickup.
In addition, the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section will hold a series of student-only visa appointment days on three Thursdays in July: July 9, July 16, and on July 30. The Consular Section will dedicate all visa appointments on these days to students currently studying or planning on studying in the United States. These days will help students receive their visas and start their studies in America on time. While students are welcome to register for visa appointments on other days, students are highly encouraged to take advantage of the priority appointments given to them on these special days. Students must register ahead of time in order to be seen for a visa appointment at the Embassy.
Encouraging Kuwaiti students to pursue higher educational opportunities in the U.S. is one of the top priorities of this U.S. Mission. Students are advised to log on to www.ustraveldocs.com to apply for their visa, schedule their appointment, and to obtain information on what they should bring to their interview.
