A visiting delegation of seven members of the U.S. Congress including Senators Tim Kaine and Joe Donnelly, and Representatives Tulsi Gabbard, Jim McGovern, Peter Welch, Stephen Lynch, and Brian Higgins expressed their condolences on Saturday night to the families of the victims of Friday’s Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque terrorist bombing in Kuwait City.
The delegation issued the following release: “In recent days we have seen the horror of a violent attack in a house of worship in Charleston. Tonight in Kuwait City the seven of us attended events where we offered our condolences to the people of Kuwait following the horrific attack on the Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque. The alliance between the United States and Kuwait is deeply important to both nations and we stand with our friends at this difficult time.”
The delegation was accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Douglas A. Silliman.
