For persons renewing adult passports via Pay.gov, online payment options include credit or debit card, U.S. Bank account (ACH), Amazon account, or PayPal account.
For KD currency: Torn/mutilated notes get rejected by the banks and are not accepted by the Embassy.
For US currency: Exchange companies and the local banks do not accept currency notes that are older than 1996. Additionally, notes that are well worn or have stamps or logos on them will be rejected.
Your passport application form must be completed online using the passport application wizard, printed, and brought with you to the Embassy (print one-sided pages only, bar code appearing in upper left-hand corner). There are no public printing facilities at the Embassy.
Applicants arriving without the printed online passport application, correct passport photos, their most recent U.S. passport, or any other necessary documents may experience delays in receiving their new passports.
Applicants will receive their new passports approximately two to three weeks after the application is approved. Once the new passport is available, the applicant will be notified via email. When you come to collect your new passport, please bring a form of official identification; no appointment is necessary.
Passport or CRBA applicants also have the option of being accompanied by an attorney at their appointment interview. For more information, please see parameters regarding attendance by any third party, including an attorney, accompanying an applicant.
Please note that all consular customers are required to wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing requirements at the Embassy. Anyone not wearing a face mask will not be permitted to enter the Embassy grounds.
If you need reasonable accommodation for your appointment, we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately once you schedule your appointment. We make every effort to provide accommodations to persons with disabilities and medical conditions. Reasonable accommodations vary, depending on the situation and the person’s needs.
Examples of accommodations include, but are not limited to:
