All passport services require an appointment.
American citizens are no longer permitted to use an expired U.S. passport to return to the United States after June 30, 2022. If your passport has expired, please contact your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate to apply for a U.S. passport.
The Embassy in Kuwait conveniently offers passport renewal services by drop-box, (for adult renewals only) without requiring an appointment. Click on the link to see if this option is applicable to your situation.
If not, you will need to bring the relevant forms and schedule an appointment for a visit to the Embassy in Kuwait. Please see below the instructions on how to do so:
The processing time for routine passport renewals is 2-3 weeks. If you are traveling within the next two weeks, please see Emergency Assistance for further information.
Passport services are not available on weekends or on Kuwait or U.S. holidays.
