June 7, 2020
Starting June 18, Qatar Airways will resume operating flights from Kuwait to New York City (JFK International Airport) via Doha. This is in addition to the current flight routes to Dallas (Fort Worth International Airport) and Chicago (O’Hare International Airport).
Qatar Airways will continue to operate outbound flights for U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents to these U.S. cities at least through June 30. For the most updated information and reservations, please visit QatarAirways.com.
As a reminder, passengers are recommended to contact airlines directly for confirmation of their flight status. The Embassy cannot assist with contacting airlines or rescheduling flights. At this time, the Embassy is only aware of the confirmed Qatar Airways flights. No exit letter or special permission from the U.S. Embassy is required to depart Kuwait. Please note that you will not be able to depart Kuwait if you have a travel ban imposed by the Kuwaiti government.
