Message for U.S. Citizens: Qatar Airways Flights to United States Continue through July 31; Resumption of Commercial Flights from August 1

June 30, 2020

Qatar Airways will continue to operate outbound flights from Kuwait to Doha with connections to several U.S. cities through July 31.  Currently, U.S. destinations include Chicago, Dallas, New York, Washington, DC, Boston, and Los Angeles.  For the most updated information and reservations, please visit qatarairways.com.

Passengers driving directly to the airport to depart Kuwait will be permitted to travel during the curfew with their passport and a copy of their booking and/or ticket confirming departure.

Kuwait International Airport plans to resume commercial flights starting on August 1.  The three-stage resumption will begin at 30 percent capacity at that time, 60 percent capacity in February 2021, and full capacity in August 2021.  At this time, the Embassy is unaware of further details, including whether U.S. citizen residents and visitors will be able to enter Kuwait beginning on August 1.  We will send more information as it becomes available.
