April 10, 2020
The government of Kuwait has imposed a complete, two-week lockdown on the areas of Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh since April 6.
The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait has been informed of food, water, and basic necessities being available for distribution to residents of Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. This is in addition to the food, water, and basic necessities that are available for purchase at grocery stores in the neighborhoods.
The Kuwait Ministry of Interior has instructed residents of both neighborhoods to call the emergency 112 number for food and medical necessities, including basic medication. English operators are available to assist. You will be asked about specific needs, which will be delivered to your apartment by Kuwaiti authorities and/or the Red Crescent Society.
