Public Affairs

The Public Affairs Section administers U.S. Embassy Kuwait’s cultural affairs, information resources, and media relations.  Our mission is to promote an understanding of American culture, society, and values, and to explain U.S. government policies.  The Public Affairs team works closely with a wide variety of Kuwaiti individuals, organizations, and institutions, as well as cultural figures, civic leaders, media outlets, schools and universities, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and diverse ministries of the government of Kuwait.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICES

  • Information Resource Center
    The IRC and American Corners assist students and professionals to learn more about the United States. Speakers, books, and databases are a few of the resources available to you on a range of topics about American society and culture.
  • Cultural Affairs
    The Cultural Affairs office is your contact for information about the range of educational, fine arts and sports programs we offer to enhance mutual understanding and positive relations between Americans and Kuwaitis.
  • Press and Media Relations Office
    The staff of the Press and Media Relations office organize media coverage of U.S. Embassy programs and initiatives, provide support for VIP USG visitors, and offer training and professional development opportunities to journalists.
  • Fulbright Program
    Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.
