April 9, 2020
Thank you to those who expressed interest in the April 10 Jazeera Airways flight from Kuwait to Frankfurt. We apologize if you were not able to purchase a ticket given the limited seat availability.
The Embassy is gauging interest in a second Jazeera Airways flight for U.S. citizens departing Kuwait within the next two weeks to Frankfurt, Germany. We do not yet know the cost of the flight, but we expect it will be similar to the April 10 Jazeera Airways flight from Kuwait to Germany, which was approximately KD 190 per ticket. Frankfurt Airport is currently operational with daily commercial flights to the United States. U.S. citizens will be responsible for all costs and onward travel arrangements from Frankfurt (lodging, final destination, local transportation, etc.). Please note that passengers must be ticketed on a connecting flight in order to be permitted to transit through Germany.
At this point, the flight is not confirmed. If you are interested in departing to Frankfurt, please complete the online form at https://bit.ly/2UYpq53 by midnight on Saturday, April 11.
The Embassy will use these surveys to inform Jazeera Airways of the number of passengers interested in these flights. Please do not call Jazeera Airways directly to inquire about the flight as it is not confirmed. If the flight is confirmed, announcements about the flight will be sent to all Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) registrants, posted on the Embassy website, and amplified by the Embassy’s social media platforms.
- Citizens should continue to check the Embassy website and follow our social media platforms for announcements about possible future flights to the United States.
- The Embassy updates the information on its COVID-19 webpage daily so please check it for the latest information on COVID-19 in Kuwait.
- If you have not done so already, enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive Alerts and messages from the Embassy
