April 8, 2020: Message for U.S. Citizens: Commercial Flight Departing Kuwait to Dallas, TX on Tuesday, April 14

The U.S. Embassy has been informed of a commercial Qatar Airways flight that has limited seat availability for U.S. citizens departing Kuwait International Airport on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 3:00pm to Dallas, Texas (DFW International Airport) with an overnight stop in Doha.

The cost of a one-way economy class ticket from Kuwait to Dallas is KD 965 per passenger.  The cost of a premium class ticket is KD 1,440.  Passengers will be responsible for all costs and onward travel arrangements from Dallas (lodging, final destination, local transportation, etc.).

Potential travelers should consult CDC guidance on travel, consider health conditions at their final destination, and remember that they will not be able to return to Kuwait until the airport re-opens and commercial service has been restored.  U.S. citizens who wish to depart Kuwait should also ensure that their travel documentation is in order, that there is no travel ban on their departure, and that they have funds to purchase tickets.
